I grew up in the suburbs of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After graduating from McGill University and working in academic and biotech research labs in Montreal, I relocated to South Louisiana, where I have held research associate and lab manager positions at LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center. I have developed substantial technical expertise in areas such as cell and molecular biology, physiology, genomics, animal models, and metabolism, particularly in the context of diet-induced obesity and type 2 diabetes. I have made significant contributions to the writing of grant applications and manuscripts, including first authorship of several research papers. In recent years, I have also worked as a freelance editor of general and scientific content. I also have expertise in translation to and from French.
